U Londonu održala 75. dodjela BAFTA nagrada. Netflixov vestern “The Power of the Dog” osvojio je nagradu za najbolji film u i najbolju režiju, koju potpisuje Džejn Kempion (Jane Campion). Vil Smit (Will Smith) je proglašen za najboljeg glumca, a Džoana Skenlen (Joanna Scanlan) za najbolju glumicu.
Kao što se i očekivalo, “Dune” koja je na dodjelu došla sa čak 11 nominacija, dominirala je kategorijama, a osvojili su ukupno pet nagrada među kojima su ona za kinematografiju, specijalne vizuelne efekte, zvuk, originalnu partituru i produkcijski dizajn.
Dvije pobjede takođe su osvojili “CODA” – za najboljeg sporednog glumca (Troy Kotsur) i najbolji originalni scenario, zatim “West Side Story” za sporednu glumicu (Ariana DeBose) i casting.
